Well I just sent off my packet for my maine CCW. For those of you in the 18-20 range, this is one state that will issue you a non-resident CCW without a class, you do need to meet certain requirements. With a Maine CCW you can carry in these states:
AK*, AZ, DE, ID, IN, KY, MI, MO, OK, SD, TN, UT, VT*,
(Certain states may still require you to be 21 & older)
1) 18 & older
2) Clean record.
3) Proof of handgun safety education (My Level III reserve should do the trick)
4) Submit all forms (including passport photos, copy of birth certificate, & copies of all other out of state CCWs & DD-214 if member of the armed forces) to Maine DPS.
5) Witness Signature
I know Utah offers more states, but they are 21 & older, maine issues to 18 & over. I may just bring my tourist dollars to maine here next year. Ladies & Gentleman, this is how CCW applications should work here!
