what should I buy before getting my CA ID

I'm going back to my house in PA for labor day.
It'll be my last time running to the excellent hick Gun stores in the state with my PA ID before finally moving here to CA.
Anything that I should think about getting there before moving to CA?

Obviously no Hi-cap mags or anything illegal

I was thinking about getting a few yugo SKSs, can get them for 180 a piece.
I could twist the grenade launchers off and put on brakes and bring em back with me to CA
Also a French MAS 49/56, again replace the 'nade launcher.

Anything else that I should think about?

    WTB Irish firearms:
old SxS shotguns, Enfields (Irish contract or FF marked), RIC marked carbines or revolvers, odd ball flintlocks.

HK45 or HK45C seem to sell well here. Which part of CA will you be moving to?

Get a ton of handguns that aren't on the CA DOJ Approved Handgun Roster. It'll be the last time for a long while before you'll be able to buy any handgun that isn't on the list.

Get Group Industries UZI receivers. they can be purchased for $60 or so each in a free state and will sell all day long in CA for $250 plus if you decide that they really are not your kind of thing.

Be sure to register them as pistols when you move into state.

Please refrain from doing purchases as a business.

CA limits the # of sales *transactions* (not # of guns) and if you cross that threshold (6? can never remember) you could be accused of 'dealing'.

If you bought some guns that you then later decided to sell very infrequently (mindful of above) that's OK.

my mindset exactly, not looking to buy for a quick re-sale, just take advantage of my "last chance" in PA for the betterment of my personal collection

Truly, I would get every quality frame and receiver for pistols I could find (be sure to check listed AWs and pick off-list)- including Cobrays, UZIs (mini, micro), HK94, ARs, AKs, 1911s, 2011s, etc. It will allow you to get a lot on the cheap and build them up later when you have the time/opportunity.
