How many guns does your wife Think you have?

My wife made me open the safe today. Thank God she's a shooter but she's questioning the quantity. One of my sons walked in and exclaimed, " Cool we're ready for the Zombie Apocalypse." Has anybody had a similar experience or am I the only "Lucky" one?

She knows exactly how many guns I have. She just doesn't ask how much they cost.

mine says I don't have enough and anytime I see one at a great deal i.e. half the value I should just buy it because if I don't like it then I can always sell it later. She isn't a shooter but sees the value in all my guns and that it makes me happy so never a word about an expensive gun purchase.

As long as my hobbies don't effect the monthly bills getting paid, she doesn't care.

She does know that if SHTF, we will be well-equipped

We Have been together for 34 years and have what I feel is a perfect relationship. We share everything we do including shooting. Years ago we did target shooting and have now moved to action/ two and three gun competition.
Like everything the guns are joint ownership.

My wife had a great point when I brought out a 22 bolt that she didn't know about. She wasn't mad that I bought the gun, but her point, and rightfully so, was that if we have a gun in the house, she wants to know about it and how to operate it.

My wife doesn't know exactly how many I have.....but seems to notice that I have more than the last time she looking inside.
I just play the same game as she does with shoes and cloths..." Those old things, I've had them for years"

The bigger concern is what I tell her they cost vs how much they cost....everything was a coupe of hundred bucks ...

It's obvious you've never been married. Do you have any idea how bad using your advice would end for most guys? Lucky for me mine is fine with me buying guns.

We really need a sarcasm font around here. Subtlety is lost on so many. But with that said:

a) You married the wrong girl if she's hassling you over your gun collection...assuming one is living within their means and taking care of the family first

b) You married the wrong girl if she hassles you about your gun collection and then can't see the similarities/hypocrisy when you point out her shoe/purse collection

c) You married the wrong girl if you can't have a calm constructive conversation about all this with her
