I think if you go and print out a COE, you can go machine anything you want until your little heart, or money gives out.

To stop the 0% "thing" going on, you simply do the work yourself...that's been legal forever, almost.

Once again, when you pay someone to give you a completed weapon, and that someone is not licensed to manufacture a weapon, stuff will happen.

The point has never been about free speech...read my response to op's post above.

I think you're way wrong about a COE...the issue is with federal law, not California. DIY or get an -07 FFL and you're good to go.

i'm confused how they can stop it short of redefining what we call as an "80%" as a firearm they have done it in the past

if i were the atf i would say any hole in a casting would make it a firearm

i think they "the them" have been very generous in allowing these psuedo guns to be sold without any interferance


the problem of shutting the door now is in redefining all the 80% as firearms is the ones that are not finished could then be sent out to be gunsmithed since they all ready are "firearms"

they have some razor edge questions to answer about semi completed i will refer to as 81% which is an 80% with a trigger hole drilled

since that exceeds the threshold from "not a gun" to firearm

No. It only exists since the ATF says it is legal.
