I worked with John at the former McClellan AFB, he did several custom jobs for me and he was still at work up to his death.

Retired form being a sheet metal worker in 76' then went into smithing that's hardcore.

He was a gunsmith long before his retirement from the sheetmetal trade.

I met him at the Pomona Gun Show back in the day. Nice fellow. Couldn't help me with my P-38 project though. God Bless him and his family.
