    Sellers with low I traders

I have read a lot lately about people getting burned by sellers with low trader scores or new members. Just wanted to post up a good post about sellers with low trader ratings.
I bought a upper from Merovign on Sunday. Before I bought it I told him I would like to talk to him over the phone about the upper and to give me a call. He did and we talked for a few, I honestly just wanted to get a feel for him as he only had a 1 I trader rating. He was definataly a shooter ( as apposed to someone just trying to sell on here) and a damn nice guy. Went ahead and bought the upper.
Long story short, everything arrived today in better than described condition. Everything packed up great.
So even though it seems like quite a few people have gottened burned lately, just wanted to post up some good deals buy people with low trader ratings.

    Thanks again Merovign

I don't mind dealing with people with no feedback, my problem is when the only thing they have ever posted on this forum is in the for sale section.

If you are a member of the community and post about things, I won't hesitate to work with you (within reason). If your sole purpose for creating your account was to sell the ammo you just bought at Walmart earlier that day you can pound sand and I don't care what your selling of what price you are selling it for I will not do business with you.

I've been here a lot longer that 'itrader' has been here.... And? So what I almost never sell anything? I sold a browning buckmark FTF from the classifieds a long time ago. itrader didnt exist back then.

I've bought 1 item, and traded 1 item since then... I have a whopping 1 itrader review. I've been here longer than any other member so far in this thread. People only hear bad things about me in the 'off topic' area I'm currently banned from... since some people are hippy critters that like to hurl insults, but go all crybaby when you call them out....

Actually, some hippocrite posted a blanket statement about a large group of people which he was not a part of... Really quite insulting to anyone in that group... I read that post and pointed out a number of flaws with that 'other' group of people... and now I dont even see the 'off topic' catagory! Hippy critter is about the nicest term I can think of for those types of closed minded short sighted self absorbed megalomaniacs that hurl insults, then cry about it if you say something to them...

Yeah, I hear you OP. It's hard to gauge who you're dealing with... I have only given my business to great people so far (buy, sell, trade)... But there were a few I decided to not do business with despite good iTrader ratings. It can go both ways.

There are definitely sleazy folks out here... It's somehow kind of a leap of faith sometimes when you are dealing with people you only met through the internet or some forum.... Oh well, it is what it is.

Thanks for posting though. Good to know that fella seems trustworthy!

                      Where's the emoticon for *blush*?

Thanks, and great buyer communication and attitude on this sale as well.

                      Some days, everything goes well.

I think a lot of people are just aggro over a lot of things now - jobs, the economy, politics, news, ad nauseam - and that bleeds over into everything they do sometimes. It's not always that everything is worse, it's that everything that is worse makes everything else seem worse.

Post count is more important than itrader. Under 100 and I'm skeptical.

I wouldnt actually go off that either just cause some dont post 20 times a day doesnt make them a bad seller.Heck my count could be considered low esp since i have been here since 2002.
As far as the i trader its hard to say anyone can knock anothers down.Mine was kn ocked down cause one seller was butthurt over a comment i made.Never done business with him either.
If most of someones post were over bad transactions then yes i would then be skeptical.
