My wife knows I have been buying guns for over twenty years. She never asks or really cares what I buy or when. But if she knew how many I really have I think her jaw would hit the floor. But she knows she married a nut and she's ok with it.

I had more than 28 when I met my wife and I have bought much more than that in the 19 years we have been together. She doesn't really like me buying them but she knew what she was getting into when we got married so she deals with it.

Remember, if you know how many guns you have then you don't have enough!

I am lucky I guess. I feel bad for any who need to hide or OK their purchases. Be it guns, rods/reels or other toys.

Switching over insurance companies so the adjuster called asking some questions. No problem but I guess I put our home number down so he got a hold of my wife....

I then get the "did you know you have 28 guns?" call lol.

I did what any real married man does. I lied lol. I told her the adjuster had the wrong number. Thank god the wife doesn't have the combination to all the safes.

The only big mistake you made was coming here and posting this story. It made you look like a drama queen and an emo attention-whore who does not trust his wife for some reason.

As a general rule of thumb, men should own between .5 and 5 guns for how many years they have been living once they hit the age of 40. Many fellas get a late start and do not hit the .5 or 5 until later in life though, but then shortly after they tend to give them away or sell them off, or for some bizarre reason, a lot of them are lost on boating accidents. Still scratching my head over that one statistic though. Moving on. a marriage is a business partnership and if you do not trust your business partner then you should not be in business with them. If you think marriage is not a business partnership then why does it take a license to get married?

My wife gave up convincing me to get rid of my guns, she turns the otherway now and lets me be... I WIN! lol she doesn't care now how many i have, but she knows it's alot, so long as i don't show it out in the open, and have it kept in the safe.

Oh and to those who wives have resistence... use my regular spiel... If women can have purses and shoes, men can have guns... lol yes i know, i had to go there and compare them to PURSES and SHOES lol sometimes you need to speak woman in order to make them rethink the whole thing haha

I think you took this thread a little too seriously. My wife doesn't give a damn what I do, she was just shocked that I had so many as she never realized.

The thread was a joke, not meant to be taken as marriage counseling. I'm 30 and my wife is 25 and she is a stay at home mom for our 15 month old child. My wife is very supportive and has never complained about any of my hobbies especially the gun one as it is the cheapest.
