Great Experience at Afana's in Vacaville

For you Bay Area folks, I had a great experience doing a PPT at Afana's in Vacaville today. I know we're always looking around for good shops to support and these guys were easy to deal with and charged a grand total of $35 for a PPT. Can't beat that. No attitude, no pretension.

Just thought I'd pass that along for those that are interested.

Of the Vacaville FFL locations, on average I've noticed:

    G, F, & OS is faster.
    Center Mass is friendlier.
    Afana's is the most reliable.

Of course, this is a rough average. I've had extreme, and disappointing, experiences at both Center and Guns and Fishing. I've used Afana's twice; both times, the guy working the counter was the most professional gun store employee I've met in the area.

Lee and his girl are great to deal with, I've bought a couple guns and done a PPT through them at Afana's and recommend them to anyone in the area.
I only recommend GFOS for window shopping as their prices and service leave much to be desired. I've only used Center Mass for the range but when I'm browsing they seem meh, like they couldn't care less if I buy something.
Lee and his daughter have always engaged me as a customer and made me feel welcome.

I think I would go with a Telecaster. The bolt on neck would be the strongest to deal with terrorist zombies. I know most folks will say Strat, but I think the trem system is unreliable.
I mean, who needs to dive bomb when SHTF? That only happens in movies.

I did a transfer at Afana's last week. It was the fastest transaction I have ever done, anywhere! I wish they had a better retail selection, as I would like to patronize them with purchases.

I noticed that too. It's a small shop to begin with but the place was cleared out like most other shops these days. I have to imagine the lack of cash flow from not having anything to sell will catch up with a lot of shops eventually.
