Thank's guy's i guess i need to go shoot them to know what works for me. I use to own a G27 but the 40. had to much recoil for me in that size so that's why i am going down to a 9mm

Having carried a Kahr CW9 on a daily basis for 2 years, and replacing it later with a Glock 26 that I have carried daily for 3 years or so now, I can recommend the Glock. The Kahr was an ok weapon up until it started having issues with the trigger not resetting after being fired with certain ammo. The Glock 26 is just as comfortable to carry and the option is there to carry normal capacity Glock 17 magazines if you are law enforcement or own any pre ban magazines. Holster availability is substantially greater for the Glock as well. Also the Glock just keeps running. I have fired at least 2500 rounds through it without a malfunction.

I haven't owned the Glock, but have shot it. It's a great gun. I do own, and do carry a CW9 when I travel. I have about 2000 rounds through mine, and she never misses a beat. I shot half my MAG-40/LFI-1 course with it. Trigger pull is long, but it's an easy gun to shoot accurately. I carry at 3:30 in a BladeTech IWB tuckable kydex holster. I'm 5'-6" and 160 lbs, and it hides well with a polo shirt tucked, as long as I put both the undershirt and polo outside it. Cell phone hides the belt clip.

I say neither, Ruger LC9.

What, as a joke? It must be, because that has got to be the worst suggestion I have ever heard.

Having owned both guns the OP mention AND the LC9, along with a LOT of other CCW sized 9mm guns I can say that the LC9 is almost at the bottom of the list, just above the KelTec PF9. Long, long, LOOONG trigger pull that has horrible stacking at the end.

If other suggestions must be made: Walther PPS, S&W Shield, Beretta Nano, Taurus 709s, Kimber Solo. Have owned all the listed, aside from the Shield, which I shot at the range. All have much better triggers than the Ruger, if you want something with a safety the 709 Taurus has one, also has a trigger reset very similar to the Glock.

Of the two guns the OP mentioned, I would go with the Glock, the Kahr isn't a bad gun, but even though it is slightly slimmer than the G26, I found that the length of the grip made it more difficult to conceal, but when I carry its the bottom of the grip/finger rest of the mag that prints the most against my clothing. The Kahr CM9 was great for carry, but you can't get it in CA apparently. The Glock trigger beats out the Kahr trigger in just about every way imaginable, mags are cheaper for the Glock, more companies make holsters for the Glock, easier and cheaper to get night sights for the Glock. The list goes on. If money is an issue, save up a little more and get the Glock.

G26 is nice, the cw9 has a so so trigger pull, the Ruger lc9 has a crazy long trigger but you can have the Galloway trigger mod done to the lc9 and then it becomes a nice ccw

Let me simplify things for you:

G26: Thicker, but hold more rounds.

CW9: Thinner, but holds only 7 to 8 rounds.

Both polymer framed, both reputable manufacturers.

If you're on the thin side, thickness of gun matters to you more than the fat guy who has more meat to conceal the gun in

Way too different to make a comparison. Whatisthis does a great comparison, but i think that need and use is what makes each gun valuable in its own right.

If its your only gun the glock is more fun to take to the range. Its a little bulky to carry but not too bad. For carry only purposes its hard to find a gun smaller/thinner than a Kahr. Way concealable. The CW model is larger than the PM model so its not a bad range gun either. The long trigger pull is like a revolver so its considered safer to carry loaded and hot.

I say shouting does not help...
The Glock has a shorter grip, higher capacity, but is thicker. It also has the standard Glock trigger with the ability to accept larger capacity magazines.
The Kahr CW9 has a slightly larger grip, but is thinner. I've never tried the trigger but people say it's sort of long.

I think most people will say the Kahr CW9 unless you know you can get away with the thickness of the G26. Or people will say to wait for the M&P Shields. I'm picking up an M&P9c soon but still want a Shield for kicks and giggles... but I'll wait until everyone calms down about them first. People are sort of crazy right now.
