    Maxim Suppressor Info

So an older friend of my dad's passed a couple of months back. He lived in Louisiana. His widow asked my dad to come over and take a look at some stuff she had found when he was down there last month. It turns out the guy had a few old guns and a suppressor.

Does anybody have a source for finding out vintage and value of old suppressors? Dad says it was old and rusty with a Patent date of May 1909. It says it looks like it's for a .32 caliber. He didn't take any pics .

I know there are NFA tax stamp issues with suppressors. I'm wondering if the widow can transfer it to another licensed owner?

    Any info would be useful.
If it ain't broke, keep fixin' it 'til it is...
