Remlin quality has improved slightly but is still unacceptable IMO. Judging from my 1 Remlin purchased this year (an 1895 sbl) and my 1 real Marlin 336 purchased 10 years ago, there is no comparison. The machining on the Remlin is pathetic; it won't reliably chamber rounds, jams slightly with every shot. The horror stories out there from other Remlin buyers convinced me to not even try to get them to fix it. I was able to stone the extractor a bit to make it chamber but its still rough. I plan to send it to the guys in Alaska who know how to make these work. ( they're gonna chop it in half and make it a takedown too)
The real Marlin I have has way better fit and finish, the action is like butter and it never jams.

It's honestly shocking how bad the Remlins are when held up next to a genuine Marlin.
