Ummmm, No. Falling Down was a very different movie.

Okay, this is a "black comedy", sort of, and Falling Down wasn't but weren't both centered around angry white guy who has had enough and is going to take care of (shoot) people who get in his way? I am in the business, the overall theme of the pitch between the two isn't that different, the details are and the whole girl going with him harkens more toward Natural Born Killers. From a writing standpoint, this thing is just a bunch of tropes thrown into a food processor, very little original about it that I can see from the trailer. But trailers can be deceiving.

Actually, Falling Down looks like a cinematic masterpiece compared to this student film.

The world would be a better place if the masses would boycott such a movie and shut it down for it's disgusting premise and content. As is the case of much of the garbage coming out of hollywood called film. It's a slippery slope and we are on it headed for a dark place.

Well I haven't see this movie (have you?) but it has the merit of getting people to talk about it.

There was never some golden age in Hollywood (or in the culture/content world) where only quality movies were produced. Hollywood (and literature, and the arts in general) has always produced both masterpieces and garbage - the latter in much higher volumes.

The garbage tends to not get re-released and falls by the wayside. The quality pieces are remembered and survive.

We are not headed for a dark place because they make more and more un-PC and provocative movies. If anything, it's the sign of a healthy, free society. No one is forcing anyone else to watch it.

It's not because they are making the movies, it is because that is what the audiences are buying. If people stopped buying the junk then the trend would move the other way. It is almost to the point where you can't take your minor children to a PG movie because of the language, violence and sexual innuendoes. I do not agree that it is an indicator of a healthy society. History does not support that suggestion.

I watched it, it was absolutely hilarious. Im a little sick in the head so the first scene where he is fantasizing about killing his neighbors made me just about fall out of my chair.

Looks like a vicarious... movie for all who see how bad society is with all the fools that don't care about anyone but themselves, and someone with nothing to loose trying to do a moral-clensing (like all the 3rd world-looneys do called ethnic-cleansings).
