Got handgun shipping question? Please help!

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what I need to do to ship my lower receiver from my glock? I want to ship it out to coldborecustom.com but I dont know what I need to do exactly to be safe. Can anyone help? Thank you!

First, you need to make sure that Cold Bore Customs is currently licensed as an FFL. They probably are, but you should verify.

Then you need to box it up discreetly.

Then you need to go to a company owned UPS or FedEx Express shipping location. "The UPS Store" retail outlets are independently owned franchises and not UPS owned shipping locations. FedEx Ground is a separate company from FedEx Express and they don't accept handguns. If you have a daily UPS or FedEx Express shipping account you can also ship it from your daily pick up account and hand it to your regular pick up guy. UPS and FedEx Express will both require you to tell them that there is a firearm frame in the package. There is a chance that the counter person will ask for proof that the firearm is being shipped to an FFL. They will both require you to ship the handgun frame overnight. It will probably cost you $60 to $80 to ship.
