I am very fond of this site. Being that we live in California and must deal with a battery of asinine laws it's certainly nice to have an online community of people who 'get it'. It's nice to have see local items for sale. And, it's nice to meet other members.
All that aside...just ponder for a second the effect this site has had on the .223 lower/unlisted receiver situation. Would all this have happened without Calguns? Well, enterprising individuals here and there secured letters and receivers. Maybe a few FFLs would be involved...but the vast masses would have been left out in the cold...blissfully unaware with their FAB-10s and Mini-14s

So, I am curious about the history of CalGuns. When did this site first begin? How many incarnations has it gone through? Etc. I've been a member for about 14-15 months now (my previous name had 450 odd posts that didn't roll into my new name). And, I've loved every day of it (even when lower stress is in full effect).
