Guns to have...

Good evening all....

I am trying to decide what to purchase next.....I am still fairly new to this and am really intent on building a collection that is "practical"....

1. What do you all feel is essential to have in your safe?
(Without any C&Rs)

2. and What order would you purchase them in, considering possible "political" changes and such?

Handguns and off-list receivers are good choices for political reasons.

Essential: autoloader in 9mm or better, shotgun, semi rifle (AR, AK, etc).

The least politcally an issue are pump shotguns and bolt action rifles, which I think are must-haves, too.

If money were an issue and if I were you I would buy a few off-list receivers (2-3) and a couple handguns that will likely soon be finished in CA.

lot of people are talking about the FN FiveSeveN. It looks like if any gun is going to be banned - it would be that one (from what I have been hearing).

Just out of guestimation I would say subcompacts, polymer made guns, things that the media can use to instill fear into the public.

ex. "A GLOCK PISTOL CAN GET THREW A METAL DETECTOR BECAUSE IT IS MADE OUT OF PLASTIC"

Anything without a mag disconnect or chamber loaded indicator.

2 off list AR type .223 semi-auto rifle builds
Kimber Target II .45ACP semi-auto handgun

When the budget permits I am looking for a nice target .357 revolver.

Looking at how things are playing out in local goverment your children will thank you for buying semi-auto handguns now. I think when the White House changes hands we will all be looking into semi-auto rifles!! They will be worth their weight in gold someday.

What do you guys think are the odds of stuff being actually confiscated? Im just wondering for things like the FiveSeven, do any of you think it will actually come to that in the near future? Basically Im wondering if buying something like an OLL or FiveSeven is a bad investment because there will be confiscations, then youre just SOL (or become a felon etc...).

Buy Pistols before the micro stamp. Maybe the micro stamp might get defeated.
Semi-auto rifles is going to be a great buy. Depending who wins the Election.

A Collection Without any C&R's....Is that even possible....
Make a few exceptions and throw a Garand and K98 Mauser in there
