I just got back from a gun shop and noticed a a S&W 442 for sale for $425. A few months ago the same revolver was $525. The dealer said S&W dropped their prices and he felt it was due to Taurus stealing some of their revolver business.
He also told me Sig was going to sell their line of 1911's up to $200 cheaper than Kimbers. He felt there is a mini price war going on and the consumer was the ultimate winner. He was sure there were others, but didn't name any other manufacturer.
Can anyone else confirm this with other dealers? I'm kinda curious.
