    Recommend Firearms Training

Posted this in another thread, but only received 2 responses (good ones). Didn't want to bump a thread if it was dead, so I'm posting it here.

    -------

Please recommend any firearms trainers you have experience with. Preferably close to the greater Los Angeles area.

I completed Level II courses with two smaller training groups over a decade ago that have either merged or are currently training outside of California.

Scotty Reitz, TFTT in Orange County, ???

Considering driving to AZ to stay with friends for training with either Viking Tactics or Vickers as well. Wondering if it would be worth the money and the drive to do so.

If you can get to AZ train with J.R. Robie on the police simulator. It's $50/hr.

Otherwise try to find a simulator in your area.

In Southern California, LAX Firing Range had one many years ago.

It only accepted 9mm & 45 ammo due to the edge/shoulder on the .40 damaging the screen or something.

That simulator sucked up serious $$$ in ammo. Learned a lot about shoot/no shoot as well as how quickly multiple BGs can get shots off on me even with my gun already in my hand KNOWING that I'm about to shoot them.

Thank you for your suggestion in AZ.
