    US M3 Imperial (Knife)

I have a knife that was owned by my Uncle, drafted in 1943 after HS, and sent to Europe.

Anyone know the history of the M3, was this an issued item in the 1943-1945 time frame?

Its been around all my life so I am going to assume its the real deal in 95%+ condition.

Any idea on the type of steel in the blade?
