WOW! I did a PPT there this summer and it was totally dead. Wasn't too painful, but wasn't an easy one either.
I bet Sportsman's Warehouse 20 minutes up I80 and SR62 in Rocklin was a nail in the coffin. That place is hopp'n. Now, they have a long and painful PPT process that ends with a personal escort to the front door.
I would have gone to Badger Johns again but Now no such luck.

There really isn't a lot of profit in new guns......Used can be better. I am sure the clothing department in Sportsman's Warehouse makes a lot more Profit than the gun counter. Fewer people required to operate and clothing is a "Keystone" Item (Price is twice the cost)

Badger John's>>> been around about 8-9 yrs maybe more and relocated to current location. I think most all the mounts and the store (prior Brueners) is owned by a (Car dealer) and he had John in there. The day I went into BJ's to get a hunting license and John said it wasn't worth his time/money to sell them, I never bought another item from. I went down the st. to the Great guns(or whatever it was called) and spent $180 on lic and ammo.. BJ's was way over priced and had a poor inventory as far as I was concerned and it never got any better. Wsports has held their own for yrs and still gets my business.

When they were on El Camino they were good. They had reloading, lots of ammo, and a good selection of guns. Then they moved into that giant building, that was hidden behind the car dealership on a dead end road. That was a bad move. No one knew it was there.

I purchased my 1st handgun from them, when they were at the El Camino location. I'm all for supporting local business, but their prices were way to high. I think they were in competition with the Gun Room as to who can sell a firearm for more.

I new it was coming. Last January the place was like a ghost town - like no guns except a a couple yucking used ones. Last summer it looked brighter but this must of been the last gasps for life.

I was in Just Guns on Saturday giving in to temptation.. and was told that Badger John was out of business for the time being until he can get his FFL straightened out...which means he can't release any firearms until then. He's reported to be in a warehouse in Rocklin..but not certain.

He was forced out of his location by the landlord, he was going to be locked out of the building so they had to vacate rapidly.

Peace demands solutions, but we never reach living solutions; we only work toward them. A fixed solution is, by definition, a dead solution. The trouble with peace is that it tends to punish mistakes instead of rewarding brilliance.

Last time I went in there it was as everyone else said...DEAD, which should have meant getting some help would be no issue. On the contrary, the counter guys were too into their conversation to help me. When I did get their attention to ask a question I was met with total disdain.

I guess it was silly for me to ask if they sold AR accessories for the rifles and lowers they were selling. What a dumb concept that would be, eh?
