My boss just came in to my office and told me that over the weekend, the sound of gunfire woke him up at around 1am. He got out of bed and peeked out the window, and saw flashes of light in front of his house. There were a total of 6 shots. He said that he would have thought they were fireworks, but all the flashes were at about eye-level from the sidewalk. He didn't hear any talking/yelling. No car(s) fleeing. No ricochet's or sounds of bullets striking anything.
He called 911, and the operator stated that they were getting several "Shots Fired" calls from the same area.
He lives in NW Newark near Mirabeau Park. Anyone on Calguns live in that area and hear these 'shots'?
