Agree. My question is why only compare Glocks and 1911s? How about Glocks Vs. Sig or Glock Vs HK and so forth.

Glock vs. Sig should be more like Sig vs. 1911s.

Hks are polymer like Glocks but more $$$$.

Because in this thread, we are comparing Glocks to 1911's. Throwing other guns into the mix unnecessarily complicates the issue.

I have a Sig P226! Great gun. I am not sure what to think at this point. I love them all. They are like a bunch of beautiful women! They are all attractive.

Owning or having owned all of the above-

If I could only own 1 pistol for life, and didn't have the supplies to properly maintain it- Glock hands down.

Otherwise- the Glocks are fine utlility guns, but I don't get the same pleasure from shooting them as a finely built Sig, HK, or 1911. In the right hands, the latter are (or can be) more accurate to varying degrees.
