Public Range Question.......NOT ASKING WHERE TO GO

Im taking a random day of on Tuesday and thought I should take my little brother out shooting.

Im thinking Panoche or Cow Mountain. I've never been to either of them.

I know the gate is closed @ Panoche, but there is still area to shoot at without having to walk too far, right?

What kind of distance is Cow Mtn? 100 yards? 200 ? 300? Anyone?

Please help me. I've only done range shooting, so Im REALLY looking forward to some fun.

I will be cleaning up big time, bringing a rake and will carry out lots in my truck.

I used the search function to answer my question about Panoche.

If you've been to both places, which one would you rather go to if drive time wasn't an issue.

lat long

cow mountian is a long drive first to ukiah then the long drive up the dirt washboard

cow has some gongs out like 300 yards
