So Im getting a crye jpc and Im thinking something crazy- what if instead of having my pistol mags on my AR mags dangling out front, I use a velcro mounted insert inside of my kanga pouch, and then mount my AR mags out front?
Seems like it would be less drag and be better for mobility while prone.
My thinking is that pistol mags need to be protected more due to the fact that 100% of the pistol mag needs to be inserted into the pistol in order to function while rifle mags only need to be inserted about 20-30%

The velcro inclosure has pre-installed bungee dividers where you can place M4 mags. I think I can fit kydex holders in there for pistol mags, and the velcro would hold it into place. Also, our mags are the M17 20 rounders and I need 3 on my kit and 1 in the gun. I think the mags will be long enough for this to work?
