I recently bought the Aimpoint Comp M5S and realized that the S model has a extended base due to the battery compartment on the bottom. That means, without a mount it would sit taller than a T2 or M5 (non S).
Just at a curiosity does anyone know what that base height would mean? Because I put it on a lower 1/3 mount and its taller than my T2 on a lower 1/3. I'm assuming the built in base is one height size. So M5S on a lower 1/3 mount would actually mean its 1.93. And putting it on a absolute mount would mean its 1/3?
If someone can shed some light on this or has any experience with this, please let me know.
