But have they increased their prices since 1/1?

It's that way everywhere (locked up, can't touch it until paid for...)Sent from Free AmericaComment

The associate that helped me told me that tourists would open all the boxes and ask dump questions about what these are for . I don't think that raised prices yet.Comment

My Walmart stop caring birdshot because all ammo has to be locked up and they don't have room to lock it up in the ammo case.Comment

The bass pro in San Jose has the whole ammo aisle roped off and a worker stands in the aisle to get ammo for people and/or stop people from walking under the ropes.
I didn’t bother looking at prices as it cannot be cheaper than buying online with ffl03/COE.my Benitez goes to 11Comment

on Friday, I came home to 4000 rounds of 556 on my porch, i was kind of shocked that they just left them on my porch, but hey, still nice to have ammo delivered without having to jump through any hoops

I don't get it. All the b.s. and I still drive home with ammunition. Only a politician can create stupid crap like this and sleep better at night.Comment

Yeah I got busted for crossing their rope. I'd already been hanging around 10 minutes with nobody helping and 4 people in front of me so I said F it and went to see if they had the ammo I wanted well 2 guys come out of nowhere and confront me and I say I don't mind waiting for your service IF you have the ammo I want but I'll be damned if I'm going to wait half an hour to find out you don't have it. So they looked and didn't find what I wanted so I thanked them and split. The fellows were polite but exasperated. I'm guessing I wasn't the first person with that attitude.
OTOH, IMO Bass Pro had over a year to sort this out and what they came up with is lame
They need to:
Put locks on the display cases and open up the area
Have a number dispenser for ammo sales only
and Staff it with more than 1 or 2 guys on the weekends while keeping a 3rd guy dedicated to the register so the ammo jockeys can keep things moving along. Anyway
I wasted 10 minutes before I went rogue and crossed the barrier. I'm glad I didn't waste 4 times that to find out they didn't have what I wanted,
Forget about getting advice on ammo from these guys now. They're just going to be too busy hustling ammo to the register then on to the next customer. A lot of fun conversations and debates are never going to happen again there--Another gun store tradition lost, I guesssigpicNRA Benefactor MemberComment

I worked there a couple years ago. Everybody opens boxes. You would be foolish not to. In a place like BP where the stuff is outside we were always getting boxes turned in missing rounds. Once you left the store there were no returns on ammo.Comment
