    confused about featureless for 2017

As a frequent lurker of these forums, I finally decided to sign up, but am unsure where this goes so I hope this is ok. But here it goes. I've been waiting to get my first AR(and firearm for that matter) for a very long time. I made a mistake or 2 when i was younger and caught a battery(non domestic) and apparently was issued a 10 year ban on firearms even tho it was a street fight with no weapons involved(lol?). anyways, i abstained from mistakes and doing anything that would risk me any more trouble since in an effort to turn my life around. and now i'm literally there, but these new bills put in place begin JUST 2 months before my restrictions are suppose to be lifted. (and yes, i am a registered voter who signed all petitions recently at a local shop)

So I have 2 questions, 1 has yet to be answered after numerous searches, and I apologize in advance if it has been and I missed it. The other is strictly a matter of opinion and a gathering of ideas lol.

If someone close to me where to purchase, say, a stripped or complete lower, and it was built into a featureless AR, would that be able to be legally transferred to me once I am legally allowed to own a firearm?

and 2nd, what color combo would anyone suggest to someone getting a complete lower receiver in Cerakote FDE with black grip and black stock? (any pics of examples would be much appreciated!!!)

Buying for the purpose of making a sale requires an appropriate license.

Reading between the lines here it sounds like you want to build your own lower even though you have a firearm possession ban. Don't

      1) Afaik, this is the definition of a straw purchase.
      2) I wouldn't worry about colors if you have a possession ban.

      Sigh.

Wait till after your possession ban is lifted. Don't put your friends/family in the awkward position of committing a crime. Believe me, there will still be ARs in Cali after 2017, they'll just look funny.

So you're almost done with your firearm prohibition, and right before it's over you want to engage in activity that could not only screw yourself permanently, but involve other people as well?

Featureless is still a thing next year, there are no changes to how it works. Don't buy anything (or have anyone buy anything for you) until you legally can.

1 ---Can your wife or any other person buy a gun that is meant for you...NO..that is a violation of Federal law.

2 --- Can any person buy a firearm as a gift and give it to you next year..Yes. That is perfectly fine.

Hey Wife, go buy me that gun = ILLEGAL
Hey Wife I want a gun for my next birthday next year = LEGAL

Not while he is still under his 10 year prohibition.

His wife can't even have any guns in the house that he has uncontrolled access to.
She can have guns and keep them in a safe that he does not have the combination for.

The best course of action is to wait until your ban is lifted and then purchase a bare lower and build a featureless or purchase a featureless...

Don't do something that could potentially destroy your future rights...

You've abstained for this long, just wait...there will still be guns for sale next year.

You should pay attention to everyone above. You're not done with a 10 year ban and trying to fiddle a way around firearms laws, and willing to risk getting 'someone close' to you, in trouble also? Most people in your situation wouldn't do anything questionable. Suck it up, wait till your prohibition is over and get yourself a nice somethin-somethin off the shelf and enjoy your reclaimed freedom.

Besides there will be a new legal tool for having an AR with features that that meets the new law. (like the BB before it)
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)
