    First firearm purchase in Texas

Today I bought a NIB Glock 43 from an FFL dealer at a gun show. The out the door price was $500, and it came with 1 standard mag, and one with the pinky extension.

The best part was that I filled out the FFL form, showed my Arizona CCW, and Texas DL, and I walked out with the little guy. The total time from accepted price to walking away with the gun was less than 10 minutes.

It's not that I am bragging... Okay, maybe I am bragging a little bit.

My buddy had a similar revelation. He was born and raised in Devore, Ca and was in his mid-20s when he joined the Army. All his life he had dealt with our ridiculous and draconian CA firearms laws. He was stationed in TX while on active duty and went to a LGS to buy a new 1911 before his first deployment.

He completed all of their paperwork and paid for the gun. The guy handed him the receipt and paperwork and pushed the case with the gun in it across the counter and walked away to help the next customer. My bud just stood there not knowing what to make of it. He was thinking, "Is he just letting me fondle it for a minute before it gets put in jail?" The salesman saw him still standing there after more than a few seconds and asked him if he needed anything else. It took a few seconds to sink in that he could just pick up the case and walk out with it and take it to the range to sight it in.

Living in a free state is certainly advantageous. Yes, we're all jelly, BG.

Wait till you do a face to face transaction of a fully evil AR in a Whataburger parking lot.

Yep, the first time I did a gun deal in the parking lot of my local Home Depot, I kept looking around like I was doing a drug deal. Funny thing is that no one even looked twice.

Now that you're in Texas you can buy guns face to face from anybody, anywhere without a 4473. When you've bought a gun in a Pizza Hut, a Starbucks or a shady gas station then you'll really be impressed lol

Well ok you can buy from any non criminal and you can't buy a gun in any gun free zone like the post office lol but other than that, it is that easy

I think Whataburger is awesome. The Monterrey Melt is a mass of greasy, cheesy goodness.

Okay. I know that these are not that easy to come by in the Peoples Republik, but it looks like every other Glock.
