Have fun shooting a .45 out of that frame. The 9mm sucks as is

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Ballistics charts show the 230 grain standard loading for .45 (which he was shooting) falls like a rock as distances increase:

Here is an in depth handgun ballistics chart for you to use whenever you need to know ballistics on factory handgun ammo.

Add a shorter barrel and his results are as expected.

However as a carry pistol, that is of little concern for me. I have several different .45's more suited for ringing the gong.

I have seen (here and on other forums) that many of us right-handers tend to shoot the small gripped carry pistols low and left.

I noticed that I and others can hit dead center on the first shot, but follow up shots often go low and left as we start to relax our grip...

I found that focusing on my support hand more, greatly reduced this tendency.

Practice building better isometric tension to help overcome your tendencies to relax your grip and lose your point of aim.

Tell me the rounds that get up to speed enough to expand reliably out of a 3" barrel.

Show me your rapid fire is as accurate in .45 as in 9mm with a 3" pistol.

.45 is a simply wrong choice for a gun less than 4 inches. And if you consider that "wimpy," I consider you wimpy for not getting something with the required heft.

14 rounds from draw at 21' in 16 seconds, including mag change.
I invite you to hold my next target.
