Placed an online order two months ago with a vendor - card charged, checked a few times and got the "they'll be here next week" a few times. Finally cancelled the order. A little PO'd.
Called another vendor today about a month old order that was "in stock". "Order, what order - we don't have no stinking order" and my "Well it's the one I paid for on 10th" didn't exactly change their mind. The nice young lady took my number, said she'd call me today. Sure, I'm waiting.
So, I'm going to give the on line vendors a break. If I can't get it local I'll go without. Since it doesn't seem to make any difference whether something on line is shown as being in stock, will be in stock next week or will never be in stock this will save us all some aggravation. Maybe after the holiday or in a few months we'll get back together. Seems like the thing to do for now.
