In my case - wife has had a booster because she is immune compromised and my daughter is unvaccinated.

I don't have any Biden vaccines...I guess if we are naming them I did get the 'Boris Johnson' vax back in 2021.

Oh man I got the rona! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I should have gotten the vax. Did the government issued iHealth test and solid lines on C and T.

I thought it was just a sinus infection but with more body aches and headaches. We went to a resort and I thought it was just from the tons of chlorine and whatever else was in the pool water. My wife and kid have both had it too. Kid bounced back to 100% in 2 days my wife and I are both still feeling meh. Started last Saturday or Sunday. Still came to work on Monday. Gotta spread it around. Still feel a bit meh today but nothing overly rough.

I was feeling tired and snotty with a bit of a cough on Monday, got a box of 4 tests from a discount bin at the Love's in Santa Rosa NM and the first was positive. Yesterday morning, the other three also came up positive. I'm feeling almost 100% today except for some sniffles. I got back to my terminal this morning and am waiting on my load to Amarillo to finish loading.

This is my third bout with COVID; got the delta variant in 2020 and got ten paid days off work. Got the omicron variant last year and was told to stay away from the office folks for five days, they'd leave my load sheets with the front widow (looks like a bank teller drive through drawer setup). This time, it was treated as if I have a cold- my load sheets will be in my box, minimize the time I spend in the drivers lounge, try not to cough on anyone and stay out of the dispatch office until Saturday.

Do people get tested for the flu? For a common cold?

Don't test for covid, won't be no covid.

I started getting a scratchy throat and cough Monday afternoon 8/26. Next morning it was a headache, cold chills and fever. I got tested on 8/28 positive for Covid the fever wasn’t as severe by then but a stuffy sometimes runny nose and really watery eyes. Kaiser said I was eligible for paxlovid but after telling me some side affects I decided not to try it. This morning I still have a stuffy nose and mild fever.

Do the covid tests still require a swab up the nose?

                  Why get tested for covid?
Seems if you are sick, stay home at get better.

Yes they still stuck the swab up both nostrils, I think they still do an asymptomatic test with saliva. I work at a hospital and even though I’m in IT vs a patient care role I have to report an infection. But even when I was in a non medical job I thought we needed a doctors notes if we’re out past a certain number of days.

Seems like Covid is behaving like every other cold virus ever, more virulent and less severe as time goes on. If we hadn't locked down and pushed fake vaccines we would have been here 18 months ago.

A friend told me last week that he got the wuhan virus. I just told him I didn’t know people still test for that 😆

It appears to be going through the staff at my school right now. Staff is supposed to wear masks, while students and any parents wandering around don't have to. I haven't been given masks and I refuse to buy my own.

Again, I have to ask, what is the probability of a false positive from one of these at-home tests?

                            1. Why do people believe these tests and hold them as the undisputed truth?
                            2. Why do people still care about what essentially is a flu?
