Just before I got banned from /r/news for posting facts and truth I had posted this piece about the cruise ship in Japan.
Why I Am LESS Concerned About the Coronavirus
The piece looks at what happened on that cruise ship after 4 weeks. Using that information I made some predictions about how the virus would spread in the US. This was the best science we had at the time, and in retrospect it turned out to be far more accurate than the 'experts' who appear to have lied a great deal.
I estimated that around 20 percent of the population would contract this since after 4 weeks in a petri dish that's how many of the people on the ship got the virus. My estimate was wrong by about half since as we see today only about 30 million cases have happened in the US as of today. This is orders of magnitude less than the 'experts' estimated.
So instead of 20% it was closer to ten. That's a lot different than what Newsom was saying at that time, he expected 50% of Californians to get this which was then and is now wildly inaccurate and clearly wrong.
I went on to estimate that if 70 million Americans got this and the fatality rate was similar to what happened on the cruise ship (0.7% which I rounded to 1 for ease of math) we would see 700k deaths. We are currently just shy of 500k if those numbers are to be believed.
I was downvoted and criticized at the time for making wildly inaccurate assumptions and told to listen to the experts at the CDC and WHO who at that time were talking about 3.4% fatality rate and estimating millions of deaths.
For me this just reinforces the fact that much of the response was a hoax and unnecessary. The 'experts' like Dr's Fauci, Birx and Ferguson were estimating 2 million deaths in six weeks. They used those scary numbers to shutdown the entire planet with fear mongering about hospitals overflowing and people dying in the streets. That never happened and was never going to happen.
One commenter stated that my 700k estimate of fatalities was wrong and 'we knew' it would be much higher.
There was some discussion of the economic impact of 700k+++ deaths and how that would affect peoples jobs and livelihoods. Looking back now it's clear it wasn't the virus that caused the sever economic impact, but the unnecessary lockdowns that were to avoid a 2 million plus death toll, or so we were told.

I can't wait till the Nuremberg style tribunals start so we can hold people like Fauci et al responsible for the trillions in economic damage they caused unnecessarily and for the tremendous loss of life due to overdose, depression, suicide, alcohol abuse, etc.
A tremendous crime was committed against the people of the world and those who committed this crime need to be held responsible or it will happen again.
Fauci has been wrong about nearly every aspect of this virus. Why anyone would give him any credence at this point is beyond me. Why Xiden says we need to listen to Fauci is just another manifestation of his cognitive decline at this point.
