https://cnnphilippines.com/world/202...avel-bans.html
I tried a search, 4,670,000 results returned in 0.47 seconds. The first link was to the WHO website director general's speech from Feb 4 complete in its entirety, the 2nd link was to CNN'S Feb 4 coverage of that speech including your quote. The 3rd link was to the WHO Twitter post of the speech.
What's your point?Comment

My point is that I used the CNN Philippines link as I could find no other, and it was not the first page listed.I tried a search, 4,670,000 results returned in 0.47 seconds. What was your search phrase?"I think we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious." - Thomas Jefferson, 1824

"We reiterate our call to all countries"
With quotes included returns only links including that phrase from the speech, 2180 results last time I ran it. Remove the quotes and you get the 4 million plus hits but probably everything after the first few pages starts returning results for other things.
Best when looking for a speech to search for an excerpt of it.
Worth noting that speech happened on the same day as the State of the Union address so domestic news coverage was on a different cycle.Comment

So you used a phrase directly from the announcement that I posted. What if you could not remember that phrase word for word?"We reiterate our call to all countries"

Maybe try coming up with your own search phrase from memory instead of a sentence from the announcement?
How about that? Do a half dozen searches without the benefit of using a sentence from the announcement and see what you get.
Pretty disingenuous unless you think people could remember a sentence from the WHO announcement word for word from two months ago."I think we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious." - Thomas Jefferson, 1824

You asked people to search for a speech on Feb 4 by the director of the WHO, I did that and those were the results. Now you fault me for doing what you asked? You are providing the example of being disingenuous.
A better challenge might be to find a quote from the beginning of February where a major health official accurately predicted our current circumstances and then see how many people took them seriously vs how many discounted their opinion.
2 months is a long time period in this pandemic and it seems many people have changed their tune over that span. I don't like the WHO or put much stock in their opinion but again you're trying to make a political point through selective reasoning.Comment

Sounds like you're up. While you are at it maybe you can post the search phrases you used to find the piece about the WHO without using a sentence from the post. You asked people to search for a speech on Feb 4 by the director of the WHO, I did that and those were the results. I am guessing you doubt the censorship of information by most search engines for political reasons like many liberals do. Probably already forgot how the censorship algorithms went haywire during the first few days of the shutdown without their human handlers."I think we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious." - Thomas Jefferson, 1824

CDC on precautions to be taken 5 days before the WHO speech...
but based on what we know now, we still believe the immediate risk to the American public is low.For the general public, no additional precautions are recommended at this time beyond the simple daily precautions that everyone should always take. It is currently flu and respiratory disease season, and CDC recommends getting vaccinated, taking everyday preventive actions to stop the spread of germs, and taking flu antivirals if prescribed. Right now, CDC recommends travelers avoid all nonessential travel to China.
Of note there wasn't a single mention of this disease in the SOTU address. No doubt some people interpret that differently than you do, doesn't mean either perspective would be accurate or meaningful.
I'm not here to play tennis with you and I don't expect you, ever the political hammer, to stop treating this as a nail. Believe what you want but this is the last time I participate in a thread you asked for people to participation on.
In fact better I just ignore you from here on out for my own sanity, I wish you luck untangling every new conspiracy.Comment

I find it interesting that you think the blatant mass censorship of conservative news and information is a 'conspiracy' when the facts are right in front of you.CDC on precautions to be taken 5 days before the WHO speech...

You seem to be more interested in refuting reality than making salient points, and calling out those who do point to the facts as 'conspiratorial'.
Case in point: The Reddit sub The_Donald was one of the biggest subs on Reddit. After the incident in Washington state where a man armed with an AR-15 attempted to firebomb an ICE facility and was killed in the process, the sub was quarantined for anti cop sentiment. It remained quarantined until right before Super Tuesday when the Reddit admins removed most of the mods in that sub, and offered to replace them with Reddit approved mods. The sub is now frozen in time, not deleted or banned, just gutted from the inside out.
Reddit recently took $500 million in investment from China.
There are literally dozens of other examples, dozens of conservative websites driven off the net by removing them from social media, demonetizing YouTube videos and banning channels that are deemed unacceptable by the Google overlords.
You know this is true because of the amount of 2A friendly content that has disappeared from YouTube.
Wikipedia changed the entry on the Spanish Flu to the 1918 global pandemic just days ago in an Orwellian fashion that should disturb you.
They have also undertaken a huge effort to rewrite the entry on Hydroxycloroquine. You can see the edit dates, all post the mention of this by our president.
The evidence is replete, yet you post here in an attempt to refute what everyone who participates here knows to be true, that much content is being censored from the net, search engine results suppressed, Orwellian editing of 'history' and so much more.
Then you accuse me of some conspiracy???
I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you have proven irrefutably that you are in the disinformation bubble and really don't know what's happening in the world around you.
Protecting Americans’ health also means fighting infectious diseases. We are coordinating with the Chinese government and working closely together on the coronavirus outbreak in China. My administration will take all necessary steps to safeguard our citizens from this threat.
Thanks for singling me out for ridicule and banning."I think we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious." - Thomas Jefferson, 1824

What do you call the people that abandoned the agenda of John Kennedy and adopted the agenda of Lee Oswald?
Pronouns: "Dude" and "Playa".
