    UTAS lol

OK yeah I know this has probably been beaten to death. My work doesn't allow me to come on Calguns so I haven't been here in like 6 months at least.

I had some audio work done across the street from Wild Sports here in Sacramento. I needed to kill time so I walked across the street to ogle some Wild Sports stuff.

LOL ARE YOU F**** KIDDING ME WITH THIS? I hadn't seen that before and about crapped my pants It was blue camo like the navy wears. I was like that's legal here in California really? Shocked shocked I tell ya. That is one unique shotty my friends Anyone shoot this little beast? I assume it kicks the piss outta you lol.

I don't know if they fixed some of the problems but from what I have seen it has some reliability issues. The KSG would be a better choice if your into bullpup shotguns.

The KSG had issues too. I think MAC did a video on it.

I seen it. I think his only problem with it was the shells ejecting on his wrist and I think some others have reported some short stroke issues.

They've been fixing the design as issues have cropped up and they're pretty solid now. I don't know that it'd meet Awerbuck's standards, but I have a few hundred rounds through mine and no issues.

Everyone bad mouths the KSG and UTS because of the early video reviews bashing them (rightfully so, in some instances) but both companies have worked with the customers to fix them. Yes, you can make the point that nobody wants to pay $1200 to be a beta-tester and the issues should have been resolved pre-release. For my money, they're interesting platforms and I like supporting a company that's trying to bring something different to the table.

Yeah I have the 870 clone but I thought it was really a neat idea and love the fact you have 15 rounds of 12 gauge. All firearms have teething issues I own a Kimber and love it to death so I don't put a lot of stock in haters. Not a huge fan of the bull pup design and didn't' think about ejection but that's a good point. Thanks for the posts I know beaten to death topics can be a drag lol.

The UTAS kicks especially bad from the bench........that is........when you can get it to work. There's a reason Hickok 45 shot it with a Limbsaver slip-on in his video.

Both the UTS-15 and KSG have many problems. Some have been resolved, some haven't. Even when they are running fine, it's very easy to short-stroke either one. If you have one that works, you just got really lucky.

Both companies should be commended for thinking outside the box though. It's been a few years since both were unveiled and there's still nothing similar from Mossberg or Remington. If someone came out with a reliable version, it would sell like hotcakes. Especially if it came in semi-auto.

I attended a two day shotgun course in Front Sight a few months ago and one of the shooters was using the UTAS. He spent more time off the line repairing it than he did shooting it. The Remington 870s, Mossberg 500s, 590s and 930s ran flawlessly.

Hickok45 usually adds a pad of some sort when he is shooting T&E long guns, not to reduce recoil but to get increase length of pull because he is such a tall guy with long arms.

I'm sure less recoil from any shotgun is an added bonus, but I don't think recoil is the main reason hickok45 used the recoil pad.
