Portable spring-powered clay launchers: Yea or Nay?

Saw some at the Dicks close to me (in the Midwest atm) and thought about getting it.

For some reason I feel like if I used the handheld launcher I might get shot by an over enthusiastic friend.

I have a launcher you step on to cock and launch in one step.
Works great even when you are alone.

my buddy has a spring powered clay launcher that you step on. You can actually launch doubles......makes things much more interesting and difficult.

Only thing I hate about it, has nothing to do with the launcher, but the actual transport of it. It takes up alot of useable space (even in my pickup truck bed).

Most of them are garbage, unless you buy a good 3/4 cock the hand thrower is easier, quicker, and throws better. Don't waste your money on the cheap sprinters...if you are up in redding I would loan you one so you can see how bad the spring type is.
