    remington 870 railed forend options

Okay so i have a pistol grip light that I want to mount on my 870 on a railed forend and I havent liked many of the options that i have found, it needs to be short as I have a 6 shell carrier attached and some of the longer ones are not compatible with it. So post up what you have on yours or if you have one that you like. Thanks

I was looking at that as well, does it extend down into the receiver? as i said i have a 6 shot side carrier mounted to my 870 and if the forend is too long it will hit the side mount.

I have a 6 shot side saddle on my receiver. No issues, good clearance. Ventura County; if that is anywhere close to you. You can take a look.

Hey Tacobandit if you like the Surefire forend / forearm but not the price tag Ergo makes a similar forend thats aluminum also dang near half the price and of almost equal finish / quality ( I own both ) it also comes with black Ergo rail covers that you can just give to me as a finders fee since you'll be rocking that other grip light set up you wanted to do

Heres a link for you IMO 70$ for a metal one compared to 50$ for a plastic one is well worth the 20$ difference but thats just my two cents man hope that helps feel free to pm me to get my shipping address to send the rail covers to lol :

Haters- ive looked at the ergo ive been trying to find the #4781 i think thats the 4" version but havent found it anywhere. Does the 6" version have any clearance issue with my 6 shot shell carrier?

As far as I know Ergo only makes one length / type for the 870 its the #4780 : http://www.ergogrips.net/item-detail...TOKEN=39279524

To be frank / honest I don't run a shell carrier on my HD shotgun so I really wouldn't know from personal experience but I wouldn't think it would hang over much more than the factory forend and if it did make contact I guess you could have one of the rails on the side shortened / machined so it would clear

Haters- yea the stock forend does hit the shell carrier so i would need something shorter then the ergo. They did make a 4" version but i think its been discontinued

This is the one I bought. Had to do a little light filing to fit over the receiver when racking the bolt back, but works great now.

I had an ERGO rail on on my old 870 tactical. I do not recall if it was the 4" or 6" (I believe it was a 6" and from the pic it appears it was a 6"), but it worked fine with a startac 6 shot shell holder and my vang comp 6 shot shell holder. It was a great rail with no issues. It was the closeest thing I could find to a surefire rail without the high price tag.. However as we all know, Surefire is Surefire...
