I think its the same weapon too. I got mine from Turners for $419 : ( the two Big5's by my house don't carry semi auto shotguns and I get the weekly ads for them so I had no clue they had them for cheaper. Oh well I am still happy. I have just a few more goodies to buy for it before I pick it up Sunday

+1. A Big 5 Mossberg is next on my list. I want the package with the two barrels.

Paid about $330 for the Big 5 Mossberg combo with 2 barrels after $10 off $50 coupon, tax, and DROS. Pick it up in 7 days.

Yeah, but how does it function...unless I've missed it in the thread I don't see anything dealing with that subject!

I'm guessing Big 5 is doing some sort of test marketing. If the guy at my Big 5 is correct they only sent one to each store in the San Jose area. I'm betting those are all gone now and somebody at Big 5 HQ is rubbing his hands in delight. maybe we'll start to see 930's and 11-87's in HD configuration at Big 5 soon

It took me a little footwork to finally score one. I ended up buying the last one in Orange, and the manager there said he thinks they may have only received one. He said it was the only one he had since Monday and unless they sold some on Sunday it was the only one.

What sold me on it aside from the price is the chromed barrel, I'm a big fan of chrome lined barrels.

Far as I know, at this date Big 5 isn't giveing 10% off coupons on firearms or ammo already on sale. I just looked at the sg at the store. The quality is excellent. They only had one in stock of pump and auto. Mgr sez they don't have that much in firearms markup to offer any additional discounts.

Does anyone know the LOP on the stock?

The review in the October 2011 issue of Guns & Weapons said it ran great and was very accurate once it was sighted in. From other reviews I've found on the 'net, people have been happy with it. One cat said he pumped 2,200 rounds thru his without even cleaning it. Hopefully someone starts another thread for member reviews of it. I'm going to the range as soon as I pick mine up next week. If no one has posted about it, I will.

Not quite 100% sure but I believe it is a 14" LOP stock. I did get to look around in the box and there were various "spacer shims" included to change angle as well. I believe a spare O-ring? Flash suppressor was in the box as well, as the thread protector was on the shotgun.

Does the MP-A sound the same?
I confirmed with Legacy Sports International today that the gun that Turners is advertising as an Aimguard is indeed the MP-A. Also found out that the only issues that people are having is the rail on the receiver rattles so the guy suggested using a lil locktite in the screw holes.

                            Escort autoloaders

I won a little 20 gauge bantam auto at an NRA dinner a few years ago. My daughters have used it some and have not reported any hiccups, so I've got to say that my experience with Escort autos has been positive. I bought the MP-A advertised at Big 5 for $430 and change OTD. It, along with my Mossberg 930 SPX, will be one of the house shotguns. Looking forward to putting them both through their paces in Front Sight's tactical shotgun classes.

I'm taking my new MP-A to the FS tac shotgun class at the end of October. Should be fun. Also, whoever gets their Escort first, auto or pump, and puts some time in with it, can you start a thread on likes, dislikes, issues, fixes, etc? It seems that not many people have them, and I'm curious what other's think about them that own them and shoot them. Thanks.

                                Dozen,
If you have an Iphone or Ipod touch download the yowza coupon app. They have an electronic coupons for Big5. The ones good for this week until Aug 30 include a 10% off any purchase coupon with no exclusions! Rare as heck but should work for guns and ammo!
