super vinci vs A5 and WHY? (poll)

I have spent the off season shouldering all the "best" guns at local gun stores...none of them seemed fit me as well as the A5 or the SV (and the fit and feel is most important to me)

...the A5 and the SV both fit me better than any of the other guns I held, but between the 2 i could not decide which one felt better, nor could i decide which one was prettier

the difference in money isn't an issue, but the wife would of course kill me if i bought both

they are both tied for 1st and I'd like to buy one this weekend to have it for the season

initially I was leaning towards the SV, but only because a buddy of mine has one that he swears has never failed him and even after 3 years of hard hunting...I've shot it and liked it a lot, but whats to say I wouldn't like the A5 better? I don't know anyone that owns an A5 but have read they are exceptionally reliable as well

hoping this poll will make me feel better about choosing one over the other.

which of these guns is better and WHY?

What are your intended uses? Are you set on an inertia gun?

yes,set on an inertia gun and as previously stated I've shouldered a bunch of popular guns..

these 2 felt the best to me. the way the gun fits and points is most important

the A5 and SV felt much better than the SBE3, the a400, SX3, etc. etc.

ETA: I run gas, o/u or SxS so my opinion is useless...just trying to up my post count.

I've heard a lot of complaints (moreso than any other Benelli shotgun) about the SV not doing well in cycling lighter loads. If your primary focus is waterfoul hunting, the SV is a great choice. Also, you won't lose with the A5. Both great waterfoul guns.

OP, if you are looking for a great workhorse shotgun with a 3.5" chamber, check out the Franchi Intensity. I love mine. Lower price than both the A5 and the SV, but it has the same aforementioned issues as the SV with cycling lighter loads.

Sorry, this gun would be strictly for waterfowl hunting

I'm not 100% sure if I've shouldered that exact models
                I've held a few Franchi's.
Like I said, out of every gun I've picked up, the SV and the A5 have fit me best.

                Not looking for new recommendations.

Looking for which if these two guns is superior and why.

They fit me like a glove.

Thinking I'll buy the super vinci over the A5 but that is ONLY because I've been extremely happy with a previous SBE2

I've never shot an A5 nor have I even held one.
I have a friend that hunts with an super vinci.
He's treating his gun like trash on purpose just to see what it can take.
He went 3 years without cleaning it and says it's never had a malfunction.
Within those 3 years I've duck hunted with him about 8-10 times and he goes far more than that without me.
I've shot his gun and it was disgustingly dirty and ran like a champ.
Maybe the A5 can do the same thing but he sold me on that super vinci
