Martini Henry MkII converted in the early 1900's by Bonehill for the Society of Mineature Rifle Clubs to .22LR. Like the early NRA and DCM, this was an attempt to encourage and grow shooting skills.
It's currently on it's way back to me with a new barrel liner. The old one at 100+ years and many many early rounds of corrosive .22lr finally gave up. Hope to get it back on the range next week. Shooting .22lr out of this is an "experience". Zero sensation of firing. Just the click of the firing pin and the crack of the shot.
