Which Ruger 10/22 should I buy?

I made the poor assumption of assuming Ruger 10/22s would never be banned. As we know under SB-374 should it pass a Ruger 10/22 will now be an assault weapon.

If I can only own one or two, which should I get? The primary purpose of these rifles will be small game hunting and packing for hikes on trails.

    Thank you all!

Classic wood and blue version for plinking/ hunting and takedown model for hiking and having around for the same reasons as above.

They had the takedown versions at turners last week on sale. Might still have some in stock, otherwise their back order log is a bit full for 10/22s

Is a Takedown as accurate as a regular 10/22?

Really? I missed that. What about it would make it a banned item -- does SB-374 ban all semi-autos?????

OUCH.. just read it. You really think this turd has a chance of passing?

I'm looking for a CZ bolt gun anyway. maybe I'll just sell my 10-22 now.

IMO the Takedown. Especially if you want a gun to take hiking.

Great so in addition to there being a run on AR-15s there's also one on 10/22s

Get your hands on one first if you haven't and see if you like it.

I have actually been wanting one for a while now and finally got around to holding one. It felt so tiny that now I don't even think I want one anymore haha

Oh and if I were to choose one, I would get the wood stock model so I can have something to re-finish or the takedown just for convenience.

it depends on what you want to do with it. i bought the nice stainless one then ended up swapping everything out for better stuff. i would have been better off buying the cheapest one lol

but right now, i would say get what you can for a good price.
