I recently put a kidd trigger assembly in my 10/22. World of differance. Not cheap, but you do get what you pay for. I just sent the original trigger group from the rifle to Kidd for their tier 1 kit. I'll put that in the 10/22 I bought for my daughter. I have another 10/22 I bought used, pretty beat up. I think I'll send them the trigger group for their Tier 3 job, just to see how much improvement over original that is, keeping it cheap.

This is the first aftermarker trigger I have used in a 10/22, so I can't compare Kidd with other brands, but I don't see how they could be better.

For a cheaper price than Volquartsen, KIDD, the complete Jard assembly can be had for around $150. Mine breaks a little under 1lb and has been flawless for many thousands of rounds. If you want to just upgrade hammer, trigger etc. Simple Power Custom or VQ hammer is cheapest under $35. Kidd has a drop in hammer, trigger, sear kit for around $90 (designed specifically for polymer trigger housing)

I highly recommend purchasing a KIDD trigger job kit. Made a world of difference on my ruger 10/22.

I have a Kidd 2-stage and a Kidd single stage. The difference is huge. If you were closer, I'd offer to let you shoot both side by side against a stock 10/22 trigger I have as well as a Clark Custom trigger. The difference is night and day. Everyone who shoots the 2-stage Kidd trigger immediately wants one.

Pricey, but worth it if you have the coin. 1.5# is just about perfect. Good resale also!

My dad has the single stage kidd. I have the VQ target hammer installed in mine. The kidd trigger has a better reset and is adjustable. The target hammer is a great bang for the buck, but the kidd trigger is if you can afford it is the best.

I have the single stage Kidd and it is GREAT! 1.5 pounds compared to the 2.5 pounds on my Volquartson trigger on another Ruger. The Two Stage can be manually adjusted down to 6 oz pull.

1.5 crisp let off, great for target shooting...

I recently got a Kidd rifle, including the two-stage trigger. Set to 1-pound pull, O M G. Ultra high quality, it will last forever. You won't regret it.

I like Kidd, but it can be overpriced. I changed the hammer and that itself made a world of difference. $29 for a Power Custom Hammer, pull is down to 2 1/2 lbs.

Probably the best deal in the USA. Dave at Brimestone brought my nasty inconsistent factory trigger to 2lbs, nice and smooth. $40 only, and he does all the work. The guys at RimfireCentral.com swear by his work. And, all I did was a Tier 3 job.

I have a VQ tigger group in an all stock 1/22. Night and day difference and makes it a whole new gun. IMO a good trigger is the best mod for these rifles.

Kidd's High-Buck 2 Satge Trigger?? I'll have to look that up! I'll check that Clark customs out too. I've read here that the stock trigger isn't all that great so I wanted that to be the first mod. Thanks for your help!

By high-buck I mean $300 but the Kidd 2-stage is sweet. But Clark Custom gets the 7-8lb factory trigger down to ~2-1/2lbs for about $85.
