    Ruger 10/22 TD Bag upgrade

Hey guys, I bought a Ruger Takedown from a fellow calgunner a couple weeks ago and took that baby camping the very next weekend. Over the course of the trip, the bag (gun and everything) was thrown around, rocked about in the SUV, and tumbled down a hill. It was a hell of a trip, lol. Came home and did a thorough check and didn't find anything wrong. A pretty good little bag. However I still couldn't shake off that feeling that one day I'll destroy my scope so I decided to add a little more padding to the inside of the case.

Found some left over padding from a custom gun case mod I did for my saiga rifle, got some krazy glue, double sided tape, and my utility scissors and started hacking away. I was able to get the big pocket padding pretty good but I couldn't get my hands into one of the little pockets, so I decided that I'll just cut up some pieces and throw them in there. That pocket is now designated for the barrel. Worked out pretty well. Just as a test, I took a cheap plastic scope from a airgun that I had and dropped the bag a couple of times and it held up well.

As for the rifle itself, shot over 500 rds on the trip and didn't have one problem. Just need the auto bolt release. Not having one turned out to be annoying.
