Just picked up a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 and wanted to give it a cleaning before first trip to range, but I could not get it to open. Instruction book and videos say opening Mark VI just requires one to depress button at back of receiver and the entire upper then hinges up for removal, but I could not get the upper to move. Finally found a video saying you had to pull back bolt, put it on safe and then release bolt before pushing button and opening. It worked. Hallelujah
