    GSG RIS

    Hi all,
I just took delivery of my GSG 5 and my RIS and rail covers came the same day. So here I am installing the ris and the covers. In classic me fashion I successfully placed a couple idiot marks on the ris as I tried to install the covers. What I didn't realize is how poor the Classic Army RIS finish is. It doesn't take much to chip off the paint. Another thing I noticed is when I pull and or release the cocking lever, if not done carefully, it scratches the RIS. Does anyone share the same sentiment or did I install the RIS wrong?

What shouldn't I torque down too much? I just like the look of the RIS. Maybe put a tac light in the future.
      Thanks.

Try to take it off and re-install it. It might just be slightly mis-alligned. It shoudn't rub against charging handle. I intalled a Surefire M83 on mine and is very solid. I installed a shorty forward grip and is handles really nice. Good Luck!

what this guy said, if it is secured by any type of screw dont wrench them down too tight because it will squeeze the reciever.
a tac light would be great.
