550-1 Rem. issues

Can anyone speak on the Remington 550-1 spring and screw issues? I had to take -down my 550-1 and turned the main screw near the trigger and the screw at the barrel point. Then I couldn't get the bolt to come back; then there was no trigger screw and no click when it was cocked. What went wrong? Thanks
