Kidd trigger group?

Just for a visual...here's a picture of my Ruger 10-22 that will receive a Kidd trigger group in the near future.

I have heard it is the best money can buy. Everyone that I have talked to that owns one, swear by them as well. I spend a lot of time on rimfirecentral. There the 10/22 is the forums main topic, and Tony Kidd himself is a member.

So is it worth the $300, well I am going to find out for myself someday in the near future. Then I will be able to tell you first hand. But if you get one before I do please repost and give me your thoughts, as I am always open to hearing others opinions.

$75 OTD transfer fee is a good deal. Remember, you're also not paying tax.

Went looking for and found the receipt from KIDD dated 7/07. He had shipped a "kit"..trigger group with a straight trigger and 18" SS barrel. About 560 at that time.

I installed the kit on a standard Ruger 10/22 receiver and added a free floated stock. At 50 yards, this rifle will consistantly group 1/4 inch (CTC) five shot groups with either Wolf ME or SK Match.

I've got an OD green one from before they had to re-anodize a batch and moly-coated them. Mine's the NDS-22R, railed model. It's not shown on that page. Looks like he's totally redoing his design.

Sorry, misunderstanding. I have a 10/22 billet receiver, but it's not the Kidd receiver. I actually have the Nodak Spud NDS-22.

I have played with both and built a gun on the Volquartzen. The next gun I build (already got the billet receiver!) will have a Kidd.

So BDSMCHS you will do the work yourself on the receiver? I thought about it but Kidd's receivers are threaded so I'm a little timid as I don't have gunsmith-ing tools to measure torque and also mod the stock to fit the rear tang on the receiver.
I am seriously thinking of getting the Supergrade barreled action from Kidd. After seeing how many of you's like the Kidd trigger over Volquartsen I have made my mind on going with Kidd components.

Amazing trigger yes? Worth it? It depends on your application. If you have to have the best trigger possible then yes. If its just a plinker no. If I had to have the best for my guns or if I was building a ultimate tack driver Id buy it.

Yeah, it was really cool calling down there one time asking about barrels before they released who the maker of their barrel was on their website and tony kid himself answers the phone. Thats kind of a neat testament to their local family run business when him or his wife pick up. He really knows his stuff.

I've put one of their triggers and barrels on my 10/22...probably one of the best aftermarket moves I've done for any of my rifles. The KIDD trigger is amazing! Smooth, consistant, adjustable and leaves the factory Volquartsen trigger in the dust.

Not to mention, when you order from them, his wife politely and efficiently takes your order... it's a small, family run business.
