    That bare aluminum cast metal is ugly.

    Genious idea though...lets not paint it, throw on a silly handguard, etch a 1st anniversary into it and sell it for more!!

      I agree that the two-tone looks ridiculous. The whole point of getting a GSG-5 is to have the LOOK of a "real" HK MP5 in a package that is affordable to buy and cheap to shoot. The two-tone makes the kickass SD styling look cheap, like an airsoft gun. While the GSG-5 is based on an ICS airsoft body, I don't want to be reminded that it's not "real" just by looking at it.

      +1 on waiting for the black!

              On the front of the gun you can unscrew the end of the cocking tube on the Gen 1.
              I bought a laser that goes in there before I had the gun and didn't realize that mine was a Gen 2.

                      The gray reciever frame is a limited release version.

                      GSG-5SD are suppose to be in dealer's inventories by the summer (Q3 2009).
                      The SD kits are suppose to be in the same shipments as the GSG-5SD.
