I recently purchased a 1979, Marlin Glenfield Model 60 rifle that is missing the rear sight. I want to install a Lyman No. 16 folding rear sight. There are 3 models of this sight, the 16-A, the 16-B and the 16-C. The sights all have a different height measurement. The 16-A is .406" to .500", the 16-B is .345" to .445" and the 16-C is .500" to .600". From talking to the people at Lyman, the measurement is from the bottom of the 3/8" dovetail mount to the top of the notch on the sight.
I am looking to see if anyone has installed the Lyman No. 16 rear sight on their rifle and which model you used. Or, if you have one of these rifles and can measure it, which model will work? Any help, advice, or experience would be appreciated. Thank you
