Ruger Single 10 Reviews?

Any long(er) time owners care to give their thoughts or reviews of the Single 10.

Depends on what you consider longer. I probably don't qualify as I've only owned mine for 3-4 months now.

Anything specific you have questions on? Mine has been great with the exception that the winchester bulk ammo does not fit well in the cylinder. It's an ammo problem not a cylinder problem, as I am not the only one with this experience. Aside from that, this thing eats anything I feed it, reliable ignition of all ammo, straight shooter, good sights, etc. Kind of expensive compared to some of the cheap-ish 22 autos, but I wanted a revolver and am VERY happy with how it turned out.

I also haven't had mine all that long, but I love it... now that it works!

I got kind of an unusual one (I think that it was a Lipsey's special version) since it had a shorter barrel and was available blued. When my local FFL received it, it was totally locked up. We could make it work by removing the cylinder and doing some other stuff, but it definitely wasn't right. Sent it back to Ruger immediately (didn't want to return it to the mail order store as it was the last new one I could find in the U.S.). Ruger paid for shipping both ways, fixed it, and I think that it was received by my FFL repaired only a few days after the CA 10 day waiting period has elapsed.

Great trigger, and love the balance in my hand with the shorter barrel. Substantial gun - doesn't feel like a toy. Quite a bit of spring tension when cocking the hammer (I guess necessary for rimfire), but great trigger.

Accurate and fun.

While I have no personal knowledge of this, I hear that using it to shoot .22 Shorts in the back yard is lots of fun, and sounds pretty much like someone shooting an airgun.

2 years+ for me now.
Very glad I bought it.

Some bulk stuff is tight, but no gripes otherwise.

There is another thread where this is my "garbage dump" gun.
It gets anything my semis don't like.

I also use it to teach new shooters, starting with .22 short or quiet, depending on what I have on hand.
