Just a quick one here. Took my Ruger Sporter Deluxe and my CZ 452 to the range today. Just changed out my Nikon Rimfire 3-9 to a Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16 and wanted to zero it and shoot a few of the new bulk Browning. Never got around shooting the CZ as I was having so much fun with my SD which was my first rifle of any kind.
Only took a couple of shots with Norma Tact to zero the scope as I used a laser last night for preliminary. Didn't shoot anything great, but had a couple of ten shot targets that were all within 3/4" at 50 yards. Then I loaded up 5 ten round mags with the Browning. First mag was 1 1/2" and I thought these might be half way decent. Next mag I had two fliers. Without the fliers they were about an inch. With the fliers it was 3". Number three mag was 1 1/4", number four was 1 1/2" and number five was about the same as four. In each of mags four and five, I had flash burns on my trigger hand. Overload maybe?? No, not a dirty gun. I always seem to get this with Win M-22, so I kind of expected it. Calamity shot 50 rounds also and had no problems, but I'm not sure she would know it. She didn't complain about them though so they must have shot reasonably well for her.
Went to CCI SV's and had a couple 3/4 inchers but again, overall the Norma shot a bit better as always. Shot 50 rounds of SK Standard Plus and was impressed. My CZ likes them, but there are other rounds that shoot better in my CZ. For some reason my SD loves them. Two ten round mags were 1/2" and one, while 1/2", nine shots were within 3/8". All shots were using a Caldwell Tack Driver as a front rest and my right elbow on the bench. No ten round mag took me longer than 20 seconds to shoot, most were around 15 seconds. This is my normal shooting for my 10/22's
Also shot some more of SK Magazine and for the most part, all were under 1 1/2" for ten shots.
