I recently purchased 2 mag followers for a Phoenix .22 from Ebay but it came with no install instructions. Anyone have any idea how to install them?

Phoenix .22 Mag Follower Install Question

Depends.. there has been a couple different designs...

Take the (empty) magazine and look at the baseplate. There is a round hole in the middle. Take something slightly smaller than that hole and push up, which will release the metal whatchacallit that is holding the baseplate on and slide the plate off.
I have the followers that are supposed to lock the slide back in mine and it works pretty well, BUT they are taller than the stock follower and you may find you can only fit 9 rounds in the mag now.
I tried cutting a couple coils off of one mag spring to give enough room for round #10 but I'm pretty sure that makes it too loose and I'll need to order a new spring, which is no problem from Phoenix as they sell lots of individual parts on their website.
If you haven't done it yet, you may want to clip the corner of the safety/mag disconnect to make the gun happy. Several vids on YouTube show this.Comment
